Position Overview 

Hyliion is hiring a Facilities Manager.  As the Facilities Manager, you will help improve efficiencies in Facilities and Maintenance operations by driving the development of common standards. Provides day-to-day oversight for assigned area which may include inventory management, general upkeep of office, and/or mechanical support of High Bay Development, and Cooling System Assembly.   Assigned tasks include support and monitoring of equipment performance and maintenance, propose & develop equipment and facility improvements and troubleshoot process equipment to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient operations. Actively ensures reliability, safety, environmental, and operating cost goals are achieved.  This person will be eager to lead or roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

Additional Responsibilities include: 

  • Conduct equipment searches
  • Assist in determining equipment specifications
  • Layout process equipment and work stations
  • Assist in cost estimating capital projects
  • Interfacing with business development managers on facilities needs
  • Review and improve preventive maintenance programs
  • Increase process equipment uptime.
  • Create process efficiency improvements
  • Provide maintenance department backup supervision
  • Assist in training of maintenance staff
  • Provide support to environmental and safety compliance programs
  • Keeping kitchen stocked
  • Keeping entire facility clean at all times
  • Cleaning Crew Management
  • Power / RJ11 / CAT 5 to all desks
  • Supplies Ordered / Stock

Required Critical Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.
  • 5+ years’ experience with building management and/or maintenance.
  • Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial electrical experience a plus.
  • Experience maintaining a inventory catalog.
  • Start-Up Environment experience – Preferred
